After we left Gilbralter, we continued to the port of Algeciras. Here we took a ferry over to Morocco. We were not yet technically in Morocco. The northern part of the country is still a Spanish territory. Therefore, there was no border crossing yet. We took a coastal road for about two hours and stayed the night in Ceuta.

Gibralter - Day 1
First day of vacation, not counting flying time. We went to Gibralter, which is actually a British colony. We took a cable car to the top. There are monkeys that live at the top. Mike was fascinated by them. He was actually attacked by one! We opened up a snack and before you knew it, a nearby monkey had jumped on Mike's back. Don't worry Mom, he did not get his face riped off! Mike threw the food down quickly! Next the monkey made a beeline for my snack. I tried to hide it behind my back (I was hungry) but he was not fooled. So, I too decided it best to feed the monkey. That's all for now. It takes forever to type on this foreign keyboard!
Notice the yummy Rice Krispie the monkey is enjoying!!

Happy Easter
We spent Easter at my folks house. The usual suspects were there. The food was delicious and the company was enjoyable. We (me and my sisters) had our pictures taken, along with the babies, as a gift for our parents for Mothers and Fathers Day. We wanted to go ahead and give it to them at Easter. The babies change so quickly that we wanted to give them the pictures while they still looked like they do in the pictures. That, and, we just couldn't wait! The pictures were a big hit. It was a good feeling to give them a gift that we could tell they really loved.
The babies were very good the entire day. There was one explosive poppy diaper incident which required Samantha to get a bath. Add that to the list of reasons why no babies are in my future It was fun to see both babies. They are cuties!!
Baby Virginia...she was a happy baby yesterday!
Little sister with her baby...crazy!!
What a handsome group...Uncle Robert, Dad, and brother-in-law Joe.

Home with the Hopkins
Saturday night we had the Hopkins over for dinner. Mike and I used to work with Olivia. We got to know her oldest kid, Sam, through the years of working together. Mike used to call Sam by the name of Fred. Sam didn't like that at all!! Sam is now 13, wow, time flies! Her other kid is an adorable 7 year old named Meg. Both kids are very well behaved and are great fun.
Meg loves to play UNO. I think that we played the longest game of UNO on record last night. Meg kept saying the funniest things. I think the funniest thing she said was "That's how Meg rolls!" I almost lost it when she said that!! Too cute!
The Hopkins brought their Wii and that was a big hit. The boys, Sam, Mike and Hampton, played the Wii while the girls finished their marathon UNO game. Mike took great pleasure in beating Sam at baseball. The funniest was when Meg whooped the boys in boxing. The girl has boundless energy!
It was great fun and we really enjoyed playing with the kids. Can't wait to have them over again!

Angels
Nick Adenhart, young promising pitcher for the Angels, was killed by a drunk driver last night. He started and pitched six scoreless innings last night. It was the 4th, and best start, of his career. Then, sadly, he was killed shortly after the game. We're Angels fans in this house. We are very sad about this tragic loss!! The Angels lost a teammate and friend but he'll always be their Angel!
