Daddy's Little Helper

Mike was cutting wood one Sunday afternoon and Yana is always eager to help. Well, she's at least always eager to give her moral support!!
Notice the cute way she is laying down. I love it when dogs lay flat on their belly with all fours straight out. Then, five minutes later...

I guess giving all that moral support just got to be too much. She decided to stop fighting it and let gravity take over!!

Yana is just too adorable. She is the funniest dog I know. I love her!!

Jacob's Field

Err, sorry, it's actually called Progressive Field. Which is right beside Quicken Loans Arena. Good grief, kinda takes the nostalgic feel out of going to the ballpark huh.

But I digress. Mike and I were in Cleveland last weekend (don't even ask why). We drove up on Saturday and back on Sunday. Luckily, the Indians were in town so we caught a ballgame. We really enjoy watching baseball and it's always fun going to different parks.

The Indians were playing the Mariners. Both teams pretty much suck so the game wasn't too interesting. There wasn't much to cheer for if you were an Indian's fan. Regardless, it was an entertaining evening.

Side note: It has really gotten hard on blogger to post pictures. It takes forever to load. Then, it places all pictures at the top of your post. So, you have to drag them down to where you want them. Which usually isn't too bad. But now when you try to drag the picture, the screen doesn't scroll down with you. So, you have to drag and drop, scroll down, drag and drop, etc. Sorry, I'm ranting!!

Rare Sighting!!

Today, in my own driveway, I witnessed first hand one of the most illusive creatures known to womankind. This creature is very reclusive and often times grumpy when disturbed. Women worldwide rejoice when this creature is captured in action. You see, many don't believe this creature exists. Many believe it is only a myth that lives in the hopes and dreams of women everywhere. Well, I now have proof that this creature does indeed exist ladies.

Now, for the grand unveiling....I present to you....the reclusive and rarely photographed...Working Husband (without Spouse)!!!!!

The picture is a little grainy. You see, I had to sneak out the front door and tippy toe around the front of the house. Secrecy was of the utmost importance. You see, if my presence had become known, then the Working Husband (without Spouse) would have quickly become, Working Husband (with Spouse). And as we all know, this creature is known worldwide and is actually, quite common.

So, my hands were sweaty and my heart was pounding, but I was able, by the grace of God, to snap a quick picture without disturbing the Working Husband (without Spouse). I ran back to the house, overcome with relief!!

I then remained out of sight, after all, when the reclusive Working Husband (without Spouse) does come out of hibernation, he is absolutely NOT to be disturbed!!

Jump Off Rock

Well, I'm a bit behind on my posting but I'll try and catch up soon. I know that everyone has been just dying to know what I've been up to. I wanted to finish up posting about our July 4th visit to Hendersonville.

As the last post states, after the families with babies left, the rest of us decided to take a quick trip to Jump Off Rock. That is a pretty menacing name huh!! Mike and I had ridden the bike that day and Mike thought he'd ask Annette if she wanted to ride on the bike to Jump Off. She surprisingly didn't bat an eye and said yes.

Here she is attempting to get on the bike...

Ok, after a little boost, here she is, looking like an old pro....

I rode with Robert to Jump Off Rock. The view was very nice. Check it out.

Group photo time!!

One more picture because it has been very difficult to get my pictures where I want them on the page!!

This is a classic Mike photo. I can't tell you how many pictures I have of myself, standing on a rock, looking down at the camera!!

July 4th, 2009

This is where it all began!! One year and one hundred post later...we've come full circle. A lot has changed since this time last year. Mike and I have a new house. I have a new job. And, the biggest change, I have two adorable little nieces!!

We went to my Aunt Annette's house again this year. They live in Hendersonville and I just love it up there. They have a great lot with a great view. Uncle Robert has done so much landscaping, it has made the place just so neat!!

Everyone (except Reiggin) made it up the mountain. We grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs. There was a ton of great food. Of course, everyone just competed for the babies attention. You practically had to beat my mother away from the babies!!

Both babies were very good. Samantha was especially good given the fact that she was teething.
I have lots of pictures to post so I'll probably do it in a number of different posts. These are some pics of Robert and Annette's, or more correctly, Robert's, yard and some pics of the babies at the house.

Now, some people pictures:

A happy (and drooling) Virginia.

Grandpa and Samantha are up to no good.

After the families left with the babies, we took a short trip to Jump Off Rock. I'll post pictures of that later.
